While we were out...

G4 Rewind is back online after a short hiatus, albeit we seemed to leave the interwebs just as some important things in the G4 Universe fired up. Let's review!

May Open Source
Neal Tiles' May column talked about why G4 Rewind aired in the wee hours of the morning instead of primetime, nixed ideas of third season of Code Monkeys (for now) and clears up why G4 Canada is vastly different from G4 USA.

You can read his full column here.

New Show: Web Soup

G4 announced a new ORIGINAL show this week called "Web Soup." Modeled after E!'s "The Soup," the new show will be hosted by AOTS tech guy and occasional co-host Chris Hardwick and will basically expand the "Around the Net" concept into a half-hour affair, with viral, homemade and just plain weird videos from the internet with commentary by Hardwick. The show kicks off June 7th.

G4 Rewind site redesign

The new design is still being built but will be ready soon enough. Pretty much every single show page is being updated so it's taking awhile. Hope you like white and orange!

-KnuxSonic

Note: Site overhaul coming

Just a note to readers (both of you!) that the site is hasn't been updated for awhile, due to plans to overhaul the site on a Wordpress rather than Movable Type. We'll also be expanding to cover TechTV and probably gaming TV in general (SpikeTV's offerings, MTV, etc.). We're also going to have a few other writers to help update the site and cover TechTV's past and videos.

In the meantime there probably won't be any new videos added but the site will continue to post any G4 related news. Once the site is fully converted I've got a boat load of video to post!

Exclusive: G4 Rewind Interviews X-Play

G4 Rewind got an a chance to interview team X-Play thanks to executive producer Wade Beckett. Below are our questions (including some thought up by G4 Rewind forum posters) and the answers from Wade, Adam and Morgan.

Adam Sessler

G4 Rewind:
Congrats on your latest promotion to editor-in-chief, how much does the new title change your work load?

Adam Sessler: There's a point at which you're working hard enough that any increase seems nominal in its burden Pretty much I'm still overseeing the content on the show and website but, as ambitious as we always are, we'll find ways to make it more challenging.

G4R: You've been with X-Play since its inception, 10 years now, which is quite a long time especially in the revolving door business that is television. Have you ever been tempted to move onto other projects?

Adam: I don't want to sound coy, but not really. Some of the joy of the show and how it's evolved is that many of my interests, be it comedy, game industry news and demos have been incorporated into X-Play. In addition, back in the ZDTV days I always assumed that the only reason I still had the job is that no one was paying attention so I've sublimated that attitude into a pleasantly sedentary existence.

G4R: If you had unlimited resources and time, what would be your ideal next step for X-Play?

Classic G4 Tracks Unearthed

When it launched in 2002, G4 commissioned a music company called Screaming Tongues Music to write music for their ads, intros, bumpers and credits, some of which were incredibly catchy.

For some time I've been trying to track down those tunes and as it turns out Screaming Tongues is still around and producing music and they have been nice enough to send along some full-length tracks from their archives!

Check out the 5 tracks below and see if you can recognize them, we're not sure if any of them were used on-air (there were around 80 tracks created for G4) but they all sound like G4 2002...

Beating My Own Score
I Call the Shots
Making My Move
Scratch My Back, I Scratch You
Every Winner's Dream

You can check out Screaming Tongues' Myspace at http://www.myspace.com/screamingtonguesmusic or check out their other band, JOE K'S KID at http://www.myspace.com/joeksid

Hopefully, more to come!

What's Up with G4 Rewind? Fall 2008

The site has been rather quiet for awhile, so I thought I might give an update as to why, for those of you that don't read our forums.

ON THE AIR: G4 Rewind is still on-going weekday mornings, consisting of Cheat! and Blister for the time being. There is still some talk about doing holiday specials or something of the sort but nothing solid. The chat portion of Rewind has been discontinued, due to lack of participation.

THE SITE: The site has been dead for a good month now, not due to lack of interest, but due to lack of ability. I've been moving the past few weeks and have been having great problems getting internet access even turned on at the new place, so updates have been few and far between.

Once I'm able to make updates to the site, I have a ton of videos to post, including many not seen on the Rewind block (Filter, Game On, Pulse, Starcade, etc.), however for the time being they'll just be clips, as G4 has requested that I not post full episodes. The other exciting news is that in the coming months the site will be expanding to cover classic TechTV content, including show histories and clips/videos.

More details will come as soon as I make them up.

Open Source 9/1: Summer of Rewind ends, X-Play goes 1 hour

It's the first of the month, which means bills are due.

Oh and Open Source, with G4 President Neal Tiles! This month is a little bittersweet, as Neal announces the end of the G4 Rewind Summer block, but the door isn't closed, as G4 Rewind will continue on as a 90 minute block in the mornings, but only of semi-current G4 shows Cheat! and GameMakers. Tiles does mention the block could have some specials and change-ups though. I'll be commenting more in a later post.

The other big bomb is that X-Play will be expanding once again and will run for an hour every week day... temporary in December. If the trial run goes well, they may expand the show permanently.

There was also some LOST 2.0 details, apparently the on-screen chat has been redesigned to be less obtrusive and G4 HD will not include in-house shows until 2009.

As I said earlier, I'll be making an editorial post tomorrow about G4 Rewind, but thanks to all who made the block possible, especially all of you that woke up early, dragged yourself out of bed, skipped classes/work or set your DVR's to watch. This is far from the end!

G4 Rewind Block Extended!

I received some good news from G4 today, in that G4 Rewind's expiration date of August has been extended to at least September. G4 is also working on clearing some more episodes to air during the block.

Thank you all getting up early and watching, we really appreciate it and I hope you'll keep on watching throughout the rest of the summer and into the fall! Don't forget to join us in chat, at chat.g4tv.com!

As a special thank you to you die-hard fans that have helped make G4 Rewind happen, I'm holding a little giveaway to say thanks.

There will be two giveaways, one is open to everyone, the other is reserved for forum members who have been here for awhile.

-"Code Monkeys: Season One" on DVD (once it's released in August)

How to Win:
This is a creativity thing, but it's fairly open. Create SOMETHING related to either gaming or G4 and send it in. It could be a photoshop'd picture of Bill Sindelar doing ballet, it could be a remix of your favorite theme song, maybe some Portal fanfiction or a tribute video with sad emo music! It doesn't have to be overly complicated or elaborate, I'm not giving away a new car here, so don't spend tens of hours on it, but at least make it above a 3rd grade level project. Razz I will pick my favorite top 5 or 10 entries (depending on how many we receive) and then the rest of you will vote on the winner.

Send your entry to the email address contest AT g4rewind DOT com. In the subject line put "Giveaway #1 Entry". If it's a video, you can upload it to YouTube, DailyMotion, or where ever and include the URL in the email. If it's a picture, text or audio file, you can attach it to the email.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-

There will be one winner for each giveaway, you can enter both, but you can't win both. The last day for entries will be JUNE 15th, so you have about a week! Please do NOT post your entry here, email it as stated above. Also: I fully expect the winners to use the webcam to do VVM and VA's, (along with whatever else you want it for) so don't enter if you aren't going to use it!

FYI, this contest is NOT endorsed or ran by G4, it's just something I'm doing myself, so please do not badger them about it!

If you have any questions, post your question in this thread in the forums.

G-Day II: TV 4 Gamers Returns

savepoken.jpg

On May 28th, 2004, gaming network G4 and tech-centric channel TechTV entered into what many now consider an unholy, evil union that took the best elements of both networks and smashed them before our big, teary fanboy eyes.

Okay, so it didn't really happen that fast, it was more of a gradual, methodical smashing, but nonetheless, this day that many of us hold in infamy, referred to as "G-Day" by the network, is generally considered the point where "it all went wrong." Over the next few months (and years), we saw our favorite shows canceled or retooled, our favorite personalities quit or laid off and of course the coup de grĂ¢ce, the total disappearance of Po-Ken the Panda.

We ranted, we cursed, we bitched and moaned... I think someone key'd Neal Tiles' car... but G4 remained silent and continued it's march into... wherever it was marching to at the time. Many (see: the sane ones) gave in and instead found new homes in host spinoff sites (Revision3, TWiT, All Games, etc.) while some (see: the less than sane ones, including myself) continued the "Great Bitchin-ing" in hopes that someday their moans of sorrow would be heard.

Tomorrow, G4 finally acknowledges our moans... erm... actually pleas, pleas sounds better. Tomorrow G4 finally acknowledges our pleas, either out of the kindness of their hearts or perhaps their bulging spam inboxes could take no more. Regardless of reason, they're finally listening and who knows for how long. This is the chance we've all been waiting for, the chance to prove that we, as gamers, are a relevant and more importantly (to TV networks) a profitable audience.

Yes, it's just a block of half-decade old gaming shows, but it's also an opportunity. A foot in the door. We say we're tired of COPS, Totally Outrageous Behavior and Cheaters, but in reality, money talks, BS walks. It's put up or shut up time, prove to G4 that gaming content is viable and gaming content WILL come back. Miss out... and we prove their previous point that gaming TV does not work.

This is OUR G-Day. "TV 4 Gamers" is back, but for how long? Well, that's up to us. Tell your friends, co-workers and strangers. If you don't have G4 or if it's been moved to a more expensive tier, do what comes natural to us and bitch to your cable company!

No matter what happens, though, enjoy the nostalgia of all the classics, relive your favorite shows, laugh through my terrible acting, interact through Stickam or chat, and maybe... just maybe... we'll get our way. See you Monday, bright and early!

Didn't Make the Cut: Game Grub

So with just 7 days until G4 Rewind begins on the slightly-larger-than-an-embedded-flash-player-but-still-fairly-small-screen, I'm going to look back at a few shows that didn't make the TV cut.

Our first entry is a show that is near and dear to many gamers hearts, one that is not only educational, but entertaining and delicious.

Yessir, that's some Game Grub! Only a few very short episodes were produced and I have NO idea where G4 found these guys, but it's a travesty that G4 did not dedicate a full length show to these two. Oh well, perhaps somewhere in an alternate timeline, there is an entire network dedicated to gaming related baked treats.

Thanks to forum member twister111 for digging the video up!

PS: Comments should now be working, after a 2 year hiatus!

Big News: G4 teams up with G4 Rewind to bring back Classic G4!

In case you didn't read the news today on G4tv.com, G4 has announced a new summer block to air every weekday which will consist of nothing but classic G4 shows! This is HUGE news for us as fans, but even bigger in that we have a chance to show G4 what we really loved about G4 of yore and perhaps even impact future programming.

Seeing as this is a block for the fans, it's also going to be BY the fans as G4 is also teaming up with myself and G4 Rewind to host the block, which will air starting June 2nd from 9AM to Noon. This means I'll be working directly with G4 on the block as well as helping with Video Viewer Mail and the Virtual Audience segments.

Over the years I've been following G4, I've posted a lot of negative things about how the network was run... and I'm not retracting any those now that I'm working there, but I will say that this is a great, positive step for G4. What other TV network would give up an entire block of programing to the fans? I certainly can't think of any. I'll be posting more details as they come out, but join the discussion now either in our forums or G4's. As I said, this is a block about the fans so we want and NEED your input!

Thanks to everyone who's supported G4 Rewind over the past 3 years and I'd like to welcome all the new people who are probably visiting for the first time! Here's to a great nostalgia-filled summer!

Our Canadian corespondent, Mecha FANFM has unearthed a horde of old G4, G4TechTV and TechTV graphics from some artist sites. Check them out below:

Spring Cleaning 2008 Powered by Swiffer

spring_cleaning.jpg
It's spring, so that means spring cleaning! The Shows Page has been totally revamped (in flash, no less!) and I'm working on redoing the formatting on all of the show pages.

Other Stuff:
-The Cheat! page has been updated and sadly moved to the "Classic Shows" section, for the time being.
-E3 Live, G-Phoria and Free Stuff have been removed from the Current Shows section and moved into the completely rewritten G4 Specials section.
-Cinematech, the last remaining relic from G4's launch, has been sadly laid to rest in the "Classic Shows" section. Pay your respects here, please bring cake, that's what I... er... she would have wanted.

Next up: That ugly "Other Shows" section and maybe even the TechTV Shows section?

-KnuxSon-...err or is it NukeSonic?
BTW, Cat Schwartz says she invented the Swiffer but... com'on, seriously?

Editorial: Breaking Up is Hard to Do

tombstone.jpg

This editorial is in response to Neal Tides' "Open Source" article.

After reading G4TV CEO Neal Tiles' (incredibly long) explanation to the community regarding G4's format change I can officially say I've given up the fight, one that most people gave up LONG ago, one that I probably should have given up with them. Gaming TV is dead. Technology TV is dead. G4 aien't going back. Their ratings are improving as they change and that's enough for them to rule out EVER going back.

It's probably an understatement to say that I've been very critical of the way G4 has been handled over the past few years but I'm going to have to agree with most of what Mr. Tiles has written. Whether we like it or not, G4 isn't a not-for-profit network and has to make money. When Tiles was brought on to replace Charles Hirschhorn, G4 was in more homes than ever, but their viewership wasn't spiking to match. Tiles could have done one of two things. He could have stuck with gaming TV and hoped the gaming crowd suddenly discovered G4 and came en masse or he could have changed the network's game plan in hopes of attracting new viewers.

Sure, Neal could have stayed with the 24/7 tech/gaming model and maybe it could have worked out, but he inherited a BROKEN network. The TechTV merger was handled terribly and ended up splintering their core audience and giving everyone a generally sour taste in their mouths after seeing layoffs, cancellations and general chaos. The gaming community already had a very negative view of G4, so to hope that they'd suddenly decide G4 was cool was a stretch, to say the least. Who can we blame for this? Comcast? Hirschhorn? Sindelar? Who knows, but Tiles was brought in to clean up the mess.

Okay so I didn't add any NEW videos to the site, I've did get some work done in the way of converting and posting them as embeded flash videos so you can watch them without downloading them and then download them if you enjoyed them enough (sorry mac users, they're still WMV.) I even took out the time to list the pages and videos that got updated below! Maybe they're new to you?

G4TV.com Teaser
G4TV.com Clip: Girl Gamers
G4TV.com Clip: Goodbye

G4 Spits in Our Face, Twice

spit.jpg

When I came home today and saw fourty two (42) emails in my inbox, I figured I'd been porn storm'd only to find out that G4 really, really hates the notion of anyone remembering that their channel was once remotely watchable. As such, they have deleted EVERY SINGLE G4 CLIP we've posted on YouTube.

Got to love that PR department, instead of thinking up ways to save their channel, they're spending all their time deleting clips on YouTube.

Classy.

EDIT: Now they've disabled our Dailymotion account, great. Our videos are still hosted on the site, but we'll have to fix the pages that have embedded video.

-KnuxSonic

Various Updates: Part III

Ontop of the G4TV.com videos you've seen popping up, the G4TV.com page has been overhauled as well and now even Scot Rubin has a little bio.

Also, while we haven't seen any new episodes for almost 6 months, the Cheat! page has been overhauled and the Prince of Pringles has is own bio as well. More to come at a date not yet determined.

-KnuxSonic

Various Updates: Part II

Even more updates! I better have some karma coming.

-X-Play page finished!
-Massive updates, layout changes, new bios on The Screen Savers page!

That's all... for now... but may the power of the cosmos... BE WITH YOU.
YES.
YES.
YES.

-KnuxSonic

Various Updates

Some progress on the site!

-Small updates to the Attack of the Show page, changed to NEW LAYOUT v1.1!
-X-Play page started
-Web Shows page created, finished.

So it's not MUCH progress but it is 100% more than no progress.

-KnuxSonic

I present to you, a very special double-length episode of G4TV.com! This is the 2003 year in review episode which is the very first hour long episode. It features mostly clips from the first 2 years of G4TV.com, bloopers, outtakes and more. Major thanks to airkix72 for sending us this on DVD.

The link to download the high-quality full version (309 MB) is below. I will also post some clips of it on YouTube/Daily Motion as well, but not the whole thing.

Editorial: Gaming TV for Dummies - Chapter 1

We all have good fun complaining about G4's lack of programming guise and their total lack of respect to fans, but where's the fabled "right-track" and how does a network that has no solid fanbase connect to a very reserved, very critical group such as ourselves?

While I know nothing about running a profitable television station, I do know something about rambling incoherrantly on the internet. Here's G4 Rewind's Official "Road to Glory - An Enjoyable G4 for All by 2008: First Edition: Chapter 1"

Hosts are pretty much your link to the audience. If your hosts are stiff and uninteresting, then your audience gets bored fast.

Let's jump back to 2002 for a minute. If you watched G4, it would appear to be pretty low budget, but the hosts in general were EXCITED and seemed to genuinely care about what they were talking about. Not only that, you could hop on the Portal forums and read multiple threads and posts from Dave, the show's host or you could go to the IRC chat room and discuss gaming with Scot Rubin or Cory Rouse hosts of G4TV.com and Cheat, respectively. The hosts remembered people's names, they responded to emails and they liked to hear what people had to say. On-air, there was games, polls, live callers, forum quotes and more involving viewers and free schwag was abundant.

Flash foward to 2007. Have you ever seen Adam Sessler post on the X-Play boards? Has Kristin Holt ever visited ANY chat room? Sure, Attack of the Show has a poll every now and then and one in a blue moon the hosts will post on the message board, but do any of them even really care? The answer is a firm NO. Do you think Olivia Munn cares about or even PLAYS Halo? Has Kristin Holt even heard of any of the games she gives you walkthroughs for? I'm sorry to say, if you believe they do, you're kidding yourself. Most of the network's personalities are just in limbo, working G4 until they make it big or finally give up and change careers. G4 is just a stepping stone for them.

That's not to say this wasn't the same back in 2002, but hosts like Cory Rouse, Tina Wood, Laura Foy, Scott Rubin, Dave and Diane Mizota put themselves into their work and made themselves at the very least APPEAR much more genuine than today's teleprompter reading, "what club am I hitting up after work" hosts. A more appropriate word would be actors. These aren't hosts, they're actors. They've been hired for eye candy or because they can read a script with moderate enthusiasm. The only exception could be Kevin Pereira who has been with the network forever, but his former rather geeky tendencies and delights seem to have been suppressed in recent years.

The bottom line is this: unrelatable hosts mean alienated audiences. Bring back people who care and maybe we'll start to.

New Clip Friday: Lazy Ass Webmaster Edition

Because I'm in the middle of finals, I haven't had a lot of time to edit videos. Rest assured I've been mad-capturing stuff with my brand new refurbished DVD Recorder. Here's some stuff forum member twister found, I've uploaded to Daily Motion (they'll be downloadable on the site later).

Blister Clip: Mechassault
Cheat! Clip: Medal of Honor Frontline
Judgemend Day Clip: Animal Crossing

Once again thanks to twister for finding these.

-KnuxSonic

New Clip Friday: Embed it into your brain

I've uploaded a lot of our older clips to YouTube and Dailymotion but you bastards are still my favorites. Here's this week's offerings.

Watch What You Play ads - The series of G4 promos that had the wacky faces and the random sayings.
Mecha promo + Pulse Headlines + Oddworld - The mecha promo is just weird, followed by a Pulse Headlines segment and one of those Oddworld promos with G4
Pulse clip - A giant (111 MB!) 8 minute clip from Pulse, featuring "Xbox Next."

It should be mentioned that all of today's offerings are from Airkix's kickass DVD he sent us. The file sizes are much larger because these things have great quality to them.

In related news, G4 Rewind has gone digital! I have a DVD recorder now so all new videos will be high quality as well! Rejoice?!

-KnuxSonic

New Clip Friday: Hodge Podge Edition

Another week, another slew of clips. G4 Rewind working for you... blah blah blah, where's MY fansites?!

AOTS Intro (Newer Version)
Sweat Clip (Tour de France)
Filter Clip+Credits (Halo)

Also: twister from the forums found a MEGATON of G4 videos which are just sitting on G4's site unlinked to anything. Check out this thread for links to literally hundreds of old G4 videos. Get them now, who knows when G4 will catch on and remove them.

Here's a few we saved and uploaded:

G4 Site/Forums Upgraded

G4 has done a little Spring Cleaning on their website and updated to match their new look a little better.

The Pile is now bulit-in to the main page as are links to G4's new web shows and G-Spot segments. The Around the Net/Daily Nut podcast has been renamed G4 Viral Videos as well.

Meanwhile, the G-Forums are being updated as well and will be back online tomorrow.

-KnuxSonic

Pardon our Dust

Some general updates to the site:

1) The navigation banner at the top is being worked on, so it's funky on all the other pages. I'm aware the contact button doesn't work too.

2) All the show clips are going to also begin appearing with the show bios. You can see it now on the AOTS page, the Pulse page, etc. The media page is being updated to better categorize the videos which will link to a each show's media page.

3) All the videos that are captured by G4 Rewind are going to begin having watermarks. This isn't because we hate you, it's because some people have been tossing our videos around the web without giving credit. It will also help bring some traffic back to G4 Rewind for those who see our videos elsewhere (see: YouTube) and want to see more. If you need a video without a watermark for a project or something, email me and I'll send you it. Videos captured by others or downloaded off other sites will still be watermark free.

4) I've added an "About G4 Rewind" section with an FAQ.

5) The plan right now is to default all the videos to an embedded player and then offer the download of the video as secondary link. If you hate this, then post in the forums now.

Thats it, Happy Wednesday.

-KnuxSonic

G4 Rewind on YouTube

You can now watch G4 Rewind videos on YouTube! For those of you who visit the site regularly, this is no big deal (there won't be any videos there that you won't find here) but this is in effort to spread the word about G4 Rewind and our services. This is also a step towards embedded videos on the site, however we won't be using YouTube.

You can follow us on YouTube at http://youtube.com/profile?user=G4Rewind

New Clip Friday: Plugged in Edition

This week it's new school clipage. My capture USB appears to be on it's last legs, I'm thinking about getting another one, if anyone knows of one with a good quality/cost ratio (it has to be USB, I'm running a laptop right now) feel free to let me know via the forums.

New Clip Friday Vol 2: Late Edition

Better late than never. This week we're Pulse packed, two classic Pulse segments. The first segment is an old E3 MMO review featuring none other than Portal Dave! The second, a piece about machinima awards. Both also feature Patrick Clark for added win.

New Clip Friday!

Ready for some new content? Here's some clips that have been aged to perfection.

Clip: Geek Prom (AOTS)
Clip: Icons Credits
Promo: Filter Ad (Beth O era)
Bump: Grunge G4 Station ID

This will (hopefully) be a weekly thing, maybe not this many clips every week, but I will try to get at least one new one up weekly.

Also: Feel free to stop by the forums to vote on our new logo poll.

Happy Holidays from G4 Rewind

Here's your gift!

OPEN IT!

Some updates

Before I start, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm proscribed, and as KnuxSonic mentioned in the last entry, I'll be helping out with the site and modding the forums. I've been following G4 since May 2004 (actually since the last few weeks of TechTV, then G4techTV, and now G4) so I'm pretty up to date on what's going on with the network. I don't watch the network as much as I used to (due to the fact the many of the shows I used to watch were canceled, dropped, etc.) but I do watch the occasional Attack of the Show and X-Play episode.

Back to the original intent of this post, I'd like to point out the following updates:

-The Current Shows and Past Shows lists are in the process of being updated.
-The "Shows" page is also being updated to correspond with above updates.
-The Unscrewed Intro has been added to the "Media" page.

Stay tuned for more.

New G4 Rewind Staff

If you see someone posting stuff that's not me, that's gonna be 'proscribed,' our new news poster-person for G4 Rewind. He's also going to help out moderating the forums, as we have quite the spam bot infestation. If you would like to be a mod, post in forums, we probably still need one more.

Even more updates!

Filter and Cinematech's pages are now up! As always, if you have any corrections or additions, email them to submissions@g4rewind.com or post them on the forums.

ZOMG Updates

Yes, it's been awhile since the site has been updated with any content! Insert standard excuses here about life getting in the way, blah blah.

The AOTS page is FINALLY up. Feel free to add to it via the forums.
Also, minor corrections throughout the site, spelling stuff, Arena's page is updated to reflect it's official departure from the network, G4TV.com's page updated with the host's current projects and so on.

More soon? Maybe?

Update-O-Rama

Show pages added:
-Players
-Pulse

Clips added:
-Newer Cheat! Opening
-Sweat Opening
-Home Row'd 2
-Great White Male (AOTS Intro)
-G4TV.com Farewell Clip
-Portal Final Promo

Still a huge backlog of clips to upload. More soon.

Arena!

The intro for Arena (w/ Destination Vacation) has been FINALLY added. You can get it here: http://www.g4rewind.com/2006/01/show_intros_1.html

This one was captured with Virtual Dub instead of the crap that is Windows Movie Maker. Let me know if it's better/worse than usual captures. I'm thinking of offering a secondary file type for Mac users as well. Watermarking may be a reality eventually too, since some of our videos are popping up on YouTube.

Show intros back up

Show intros section is up in the media section. I've added Judgement Day, Icons and Portal's intros to the site as well.

Links are Live

The links page is now live. I've added a lot of links to former hosts' pages, resumes and blogs. Click the links button near the top.

I know the banner thing is buggy on all the pages but this one and of course looks AWFUL in IE. I'm working on it, but it'd be nice if IE would hurry up and support .PNG images.

Also, ads are live on the site to help pay bandwidth. Not on every page though.

G4 Chat Stats

Weekly chat stats from the offical G4 IRC chat room have been updated and can be viewed here.

Slowly but Surely

The main show lists are back up and have been tweeked for faster reading. I've also added a few shows that were missing, but I know of the Tech Morning stuff isn't up yet like Nerd Nation, Future Fighting Machines, etc. Individual show pages are still on the old format, those will take a little more time.

The new banner is also not final, i'm planning on increasing the length and putting a randomizer in it so it displays a random catch phrase.
