History

Old Pulse Logo

Pulse was the definitive news source for video games on G4. Rounding up the week's news in a professional-newscast style, Pulse has interviewed such greats as Peter Molyneux, creators of Homestar Runner and Shigeru Miyamoto. During the network merger between TechTV and G4, Pulse got a visual makeover just in time for E3 2004. However in November of the same year, Pulse was cancelled by the network, in order to focus on the newly-revamped TSS. The idea was, instead of making Pulse a daily live show, to use the current daily live show the network had to air the news as well as variety of other segments, topics and guests. You can still spot a few previous Pulse segments (EB Games Weekly Top Ten) as well as some of Pulse's old graphics, music and intros in TSS today.

Tidbits
-Pulse was one of the 13 original shows to debut with G4
-Pulse was originally a half-hour show but it was expanded to an hour later on.
-Inbetween commercials, Pulse aired "Pulse Headlines" which was a quick, daily text-only review of the day's headlines in gaming.
