G4 Hates You Part II: The Block Season 2 en route

theblock.jpg

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse? It gets worse.

In the continuing story of "Who the eff is making decisions at G4?" saga, G4 has begun "amping" us up for a new season of everyone's favorite reality show about wannabe hardasses who work at snowboarding hotels, The Block.

The show's page threatens advertises only that the new season is coming soon, at a new location with a new cast. Presumably it will be just as bad as the first group though.

G4 looking for new Girl Gamer Hosts

G4 is working with Gotcast to find girl gamers to appear regularly on the network. Anyone can enter (as long as you're a chick) and users vote on their favorites, with the top 10 girls getting their portfolio sent to G4 casting.

Seems like a good idea, especially if they're replacing Olivia Munn, depending on who gets chosen. If you'd like to vote and hopefully help G4 find someone who isn't a teleprompter slave, head on over to this page here and vote (registration required).

Duty Free TV premieres tonight

DutyFreeTV.jpg
In yet another new G4 programming block (The G-Spot, Barbed Wire Biscuit, Midnight Spank) in recent years, Duty Free TV premieres tonight (2/4) at 8:30pm ET/PT, with the highly popular (according to G4) Ninja Warrior, and two new Japanese import shows, Unbeatable Banzuke, and Super Big Product Fun Show. Hit up the press release for all the details, but here's a short sampling of what you will see:

Unbeatable Banzuke
• Hand Walk – competitors combine incredible strength and balance to traverse an entire obstacle course on their hands, navigating steep stairs, moving ramps and bridges.
• Giant Ball – challengers climb on top of a huge red ball and use the orb to cross a circuitous multilevel course.
• Super Rider – a fast-paced test of bike-riding skill demands that competitors navigate an obstacle course of giant cabling spools, two story drops and three-inch rails.

Super Big Product Fun Show
• Skull Sucker – drains unwanted fluid from the brain.
• Razor Burner – removes unsightly hair with explosives.
• Junk Trunks – special male enhancement pants.
• Fisterine Party Poppers – breath mint loaded with gun powder.
• Dr. Degloves Genital Wart Wipes – that burning sensation means it’s working.
