Code Monkeys Update: premiere info, website launched, view entire 1st episode
G4 has a struck a deal with Break.com to post an early screening of the first episode of Code Monkeys, set to begin airing July 11th at 9pm on G4 with back to back episodes. The Code Monkeys website has also launched, but right now many of the features are "coming soon" but check back closer to the premiere to watch videos, get downloads, and participate in live chat, among other site features.
After viewing the pilot, I can't really give a definite good or bad review, rather it was full of funny bits and bits where it fell flat on it's face. There were lots of little inside jokes that gamers would get, but then lots of humor that seemed like it was targeted to half-baked college dropouts (OMG DRUG REFERENCES!).
We'll have to see a few more episodes, but at least the animation looks really good and stays true to the 8-bit style.
