AOTS Producer Scott Moschella leaves the show

It was announced today on Attack of the Show that long time AOTS producer Scott Moschella (hailing back from the TechTV Call for Help days as an intern and also having a spot on the crew of The Screen Savers), well known for his role as "Jimmy the Geek", is leaving the show. As of writing, it's not exactly known why he is leaving or what he is pursuing, but everyone at G4 Rewind would like to wish him the best of luck in whatever he decides to do.

Longtime G4/Allgames producer/host Jim Downs leaves/fired

Jim Downs, producer of Attack of the Show, former host of Pulse, former co-host on the All Games Network and countless other roles has either left or been fired from G4 according to the latest episode (EP84) of Kevin Rose's Diggnation podcast. Skip to the last 3 minutes of the show to hear the clip.

Jim Downs was largely responsible for the last leg of The Screen Savers (after Alex Albrecht, Yoshi etc. were laid off), and the transition to Attack of the Show. Jim Downs is also credited by former host of Arena Wil Wheaton as being the biggest douche ever and the main reason he left network.

Longtime TechTV and TSS member Josh Brentano and Gavin Purcell move up in Jim Down's place.

Feel free to discuss this news in the Comments section or in the Forums. (Registration required).

UPDATE: According to G4 web team member Gringo in a recent interview on Allgames, Jim Downs left under his own power.

X-Play: The Musical Online

G4 has posted almost the entire X-Play musical online cut up in bite sized chunks.

In my opinion, this is a high watermark for G4 production. The sets, the songs, the costumes, even the extras all are very well done. Sure it may be gimmicky, but it doesn't really take itself seriously, so lighten up. Webb and Sessler actually sound pretty good, kudos to everyone that worked on it, it turned out great.
